Professor Susan Thompson is Head of the Healthy Built Environments Program in The Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of NSW. She was the first urban planner appointed to the NSW Health Minister's Advisory Committee on Preventative Health. Susan writes a regular column on healthy built environments in the NSW journal of the Planning Institute of Australia 'New Planner'.
