Associate Professor Tooran Alizadeh is the co-convener of Smart Urbanism (Research) Lab at the University of Sydney, the lead investigator on the Infrastructure Governance Incubator funded by the Henry Halloran Trust, and the Associate Editor of Telematics and Informatics. She has recently been awarded an ARC Future Fellowship to explore the complex socio-spatial implications of smart city development in India (2022-2026).
Khelsilem Tl’aḵwasiḵ̓an Sxwchálten is an advocate, policy-maker, community leader, and thinker. He has served in community governance roles as a prominent leader on the Squamish Nation Council, a member of the BC Climate Council, and the first Indigenous board member with Vancity Board. Khelsilem believes that vision and leadership that empower those who need it is the cornerstone of our times.
Dr Cathy Oke is Melbourne Enterprise Senior Fellow in the Melbourne Centre for Cities at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on the interaction between urban research, policy and practice for greater impact in cities. Cathy is an advisor to the Innovate4Cities program of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy. She was a Councillor at the City of Melbourne from 2008 - 2020.
John Brockhoff is a planner and policy advisor in infrastructure planning, environment and economic development. He is currently National Policy Manager for the Planning Institute of Australia and guided the preparation of PIA’s policy positions on climate, infrastructure funding, the Parliamentary Inquiry into the ‘development of cities’ and PIA’s call for a ‘National Settlement Strategy’.
Dr Simon Bradshaw is a researcher on climate science and impacts at the Climate Council. He has been a writer and campaigner for climate action for over a decade and was formerly the Climate Change Advocacy Lead at Oxfam Australia. He is passionate about climate justice and the role of climate action in reducing poverty and inequality.
