Peter Cooley is a proud Bidjigal man who grew up in La Perouse around Botany Bay. A tradesman of 20 years in Diesel mechanics, Peter also taught at Sydney TAFE college before starting his own company working with Aboriginal youth, families and communities. He was the recipient of a number of awards for this work and also spoke at International conferences. In 2012, Peter co-founded First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation (FHS) which is a highly successful dynamic organisation empowering Aboriginal people, communities and businesses through Culture, employment & training and Economic development. FHS runs the National Indigenous Art Fair, Blak Markets and IndigiGrow.
Daryl Wells has spent most of his adult working life [31 years] working in the conservation/regeneration field. Holding several different roles over the years from Local Government [Sutherland Shire Council] to managing regeneration projects to working at Muru Mittigar [A Dhurag not for profit entity] as a restoration specialist whilst embodying our motto of “caring for country”. Daryl is a proud Yuin man and has qualifications in Conservation and Land Management [cert 4 and Diploma from Ryde TAFE] Daryl has won awards for volunteer work an brings over 30 years hands on and management experience in the conservation and restoration field.
